It applies to telefirstmed.com and any subdomains, landing pages, intake forms, and related online services we operate (collectively, the "Services").

First Med PC is a North Carolina professional corporation that offers telehealth evaluations and, where clinically appropriate, prescriptions for FDA-approved GLP-1 medications to North Carolina residents.

For purposes of HIPAA, First Med PC is a Covered Entity. Protected Health Information ("PHI") that you share with us in connection with treatment is also governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which controls in the event of any conflict with this Privacy Policy.


2. Information We Collect

Name, date of birth, email, phone number, and mailing address

Health information you submit through screening questionnaires, intake forms, or chat (e.g., medical history, current medications, allergies, height/weight/BMI, pregnancy status, prior GLP-1 use)

Government-issued ID and photos for identity verification, where required

Payment and billing information (processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers)

3. How We Use Your Information

Evaluate your eligibility for treatment and provide telehealth services

Connect you with a licensed clinician, prescribe medication where appropriate, and coordinate fulfillment with a partner pharmacy

Process payments and manage your account

Communicate with you about your care, appointments, prescriptions, refills, and follow-ups

Send transactional messages (e.g., appointment confirmations, shipping updates) and, with your consent, marketing messages

Comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation, and professional obligations

Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents

Improve and operate the Services

PHI is used and disclosed only as permitted by HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices.


4. SMS / Text Message Communications

If you opt in to receive text messages from us (for example, by submitting a form with SMS consent or by chatting with our website widget), the following apply:

Message frequency varies. Common message types include appointment reminders, prescription updates, follow-up care, and account notifications.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help. You can also email [email protected] to opt out.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.


5. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as necessary and only with parties bound by appropriate confidentiality, privacy, and (where applicable) HIPAA Business Associate obligations:

Treating clinicians affiliated with First Med PC

Partner pharmacies that dispense your medication

Laboratory partners if labs are required for your care

Service providers that help us operate the Services (e.g., hosting, communications platforms, scheduling, identity verification, payment processing, analytics)

Professional advisors (attorneys, accountants, auditors)

Authorities when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property

Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share PHI for cross-context behavioral advertising.


6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your state, you may have rights to:

Access the personal information we hold about you

Request correction of inaccurate information

Request deletion of personal information

Opt out of certain processing (e.g., marketing communications)

Receive a portable copy of your information

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, measure performance, and (in limited cases) deliver relevant content. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit functionality.

We do not use advertising cookies, pixels, or analytics that involve PHI.
